Worked example: a $120.00 Reverb sale
Suppose you sell an item for $120.00 and charge $15.00 shipping. The gross sale is $135.00. Here is how Reverb arrives at what you keep:
- Final value fee (5% × $135.00 (min $0.50) (max $500.00))−$6.75
- Payment processing (3.19% × $135.00 + $0.49)−$4.80
- Total fees−$11.55
- Net payout$123.45
Total fees come to $11.55 (8.6% of the gross sale). After the fees and any platform-handled shipping deductions shown above, the net payout is $123.45. After your $40.00 item cost and $12.00 shipping paid separately, the profit is $71.45 — a 59.5% margin on the item price.

Reverb charges 5% on item price plus charged shipping, with a $0.50 minimum and $500 maximum selling fee for USD listings. Standard US Reverb Payments processing is 3.19% + $0.49 on the full order including buyer tax. Applicable international bank-account transactions add a 1% cross-border processing fee; transactions within the EEA are exempt. The calculator keeps collected tax out of seller income while including it in processing. Preferred Seller and PayPal rates, Bump, shipping labels, tax on seller fees and the separate 2.5% payout currency-conversion fee are not modeled here.
