Reverb fee calculator

Reverb keeps its pricing simple: a single 5% selling fee on the total sale, which already includes payment processing — there is no separate per-order or card charge. Reverb cut its rate to this all-in 5% in 2023. Enter your price and shipping to see the fee, the net deposited to your account, and your profit after item and shipping costs.

Worked example: a $120.00 Reverb sale

Suppose you sell an item for $120.00 and charge $15.00 shipping. The gross sale is $135.00. Here is how Reverb arrives at what you keep:

  • Final value fee (5% × $135.00)$6.75

Total fees come to $6.75 (5.0% of the gross sale), leaving a net payout of $128.25. After your $40.00 item cost and $12.00 shipping paid, the profit is $76.25 — a 63.5% margin on the item price.

How Reverb fees work

Reverb charges one flat selling fee of 5% on the total sale amount, including the shipping the buyer pays. That single rate already covers payment processing, so there is no additional card fee or fixed per-order charge to add on top. Reverb moved to this all-in 5% rate in 2023, simplifying an earlier structure that combined a selling fee with separate payment processing. Listing is free, and Reverb's optional promoted-listing and shipping tools carry their own terms but are not deducted from the base sale.
