Poshmark fee calculator

Poshmark uses a two-tier commission: on sales under $15 it takes a flat $2.95, and on sales of $15 or more it takes 20% of the item price. That 20% covers everything — there is no separate payment processing or listing fee. Because the flat fee is a large share of a cheap item, low-priced sales lose a much higher percentage than expensive ones. Enter your price to see the exact cut and what you keep.

Worked example: a $28.00 Poshmark sale

Suppose you sell an item for $28.00 with no shipping charge. The gross sale is $28.00. Here is how Poshmark arrives at what you keep:

  • Selling commission (20% × $28.00)$5.60

Total fees come to $5.60 (20.0% of the gross sale), leaving a net payout of $22.40. After your $6.00 item cost, the profit is $16.40 — a 58.6% margin on the item price.

How Poshmark fees work

Poshmark's commission depends on the sale price. For any sale under $15, Poshmark takes a flat $2.95, which means a $5 item loses 59% while a $14 item still loses 21%. For sales of $15 or more, Poshmark takes a flat 20% of the item price. The commission is calculated on the item price only; the buyer pays shipping separately to Poshmark. There are no listing fees and no separate payment processing charge — the commission is the only deduction from your earnings.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Poshmark take when an item sells?
For sales of $15 or more, Poshmark takes a flat 20% commission on the item price. For sales under $15, it takes a flat $2.95 instead.
Why do cheap items lose such a big percentage on Poshmark?
Because the under-$15 fee is a flat $2.95. On a $5 item that is 59% of the price, while on a $14 item it is still 21%. Pricing items at or above $15 keeps you on the flat 20% rate.
Does Poshmark charge for shipping or payment processing?
No. The buyer pays shipping directly to Poshmark, and the commission already covers payment processing. The 20% (or $2.95) commission is the only deduction from your item price.
Is there a fee to list on Poshmark?
No. Listing is free and unlimited; Poshmark only earns when one of your items sells.
