Suppose you sell an item for $38.00 and charge $6.00 shipping. The gross sale is $44.00. Here is how Depop arrives at what you keep:

Total fees come to $1.90 (4.3% of the gross sale). After the fees and any platform-handled shipping deductions shown above, the net payout is $42.10. After your $9.00 item cost and $5.00 shipping paid separately, the profit is $28.10 — a 74.0% margin on the item price.

How Depop fees work
Depop charges no selling fee in the US, UK or Australia; processing varies by country. This model uses US Depop Payments at 3.3% + $0.45 including charged shipping and buyer tax, and assumes you arrange shipping yourself. The buyer's shipping payment is paid to you; your actual postage cost reduces profit. Depop Shipping labels and their label deductions are outside this model. UK processing is 2.9% + £0.30. For new US/UK boosted listings from 23 March 2026, the published 12% boost fee applies to item price plus seller-managed shipping, excluding tax. Older boosts, other regions and promotions may differ. Other-region selling fees and PayPal processing are not modeled.
