Depop fee calculator

For US sellers, Depop removed its 10% selling fee in 2024, so the only deduction is the Depop Payments processing fee of 3.3% + $0.45 per sale. (UK sellers still pay a 10% marketplace fee on top.) Enter your price and shipping to see the processing fee, the net you keep, and your profit after item and shipping costs.

Worked example: a $38.00 Depop sale

Suppose you sell an item for $38.00 and charge $6.00 shipping. The gross sale is $44.00. Here is how Depop arrives at what you keep:

  • Payment processing (3.3% × $44.00 + $0.45)$1.90

Total fees come to $1.90 (4.3% of the gross sale), leaving a net payout of $42.10. After your $9.00 item cost and $5.00 shipping paid, the profit is $28.10 — a 74.0% margin on the item price.

How Depop fees work

Depop's fee structure depends on where you sell. In the US, the 10% selling fee was eliminated in 2024, leaving only the Depop Payments processing fee of 3.3% + $0.45 per transaction. In the UK, sellers still pay a 10% marketplace fee on the item price plus shipping, alongside payment processing. If you use your own payment processor instead of Depop Payments, the processing fee differs. Always confirm the current rates for your country in the app before pricing inventory.

Frequently asked questions

Does Depop still charge a 10% selling fee?
Not for US sellers — Depop removed the 10% selling fee in 2024, so US sellers only pay the Depop Payments processing fee of 3.3% + $0.45. UK sellers still pay the 10% marketplace fee.
What is the Depop Payments fee?
Depop Payments charges 3.3% of the total sale plus a fixed $0.45 per transaction in the US. This covers card processing and is the main deduction from your earnings.
Is there a fee to list on Depop?
No. Listing items on Depop is free; you only pay when an item sells.
Can I use my own payment processor on Depop?
Yes, in some regions you can connect your own PayPal or processor instead of Depop Payments, but the fee you pay then depends on that processor's rates rather than Depop's.
