Worked example: a $85.00 Grailed sale
Suppose you sell an item for $85.00 and charge $12.00 shipping. The gross sale is $97.00. Here is how Grailed arrives at what you keep:

- Payment processing (3.49% × $97.00 + $0.49)−$3.88

- Net payout$87.30
Total fees come to $9.70 (10.0% of the gross sale). After the fees and any platform-handled shipping deductions shown above, the net payout is $87.30. After your $25.00 item cost and $10.00 shipping paid separately, the profit is $52.30 — a 61.5% margin on the item price.

How Grailed fees work
Grailed's current selling rate is 6% of the entire sale price below $120, with a $1.99 minimum, or 9% of the entire sale price at $120 and above. The sale price includes shipping charged to the buyer when you arrange shipping yourself. This calculator models seller-managed shipping, not Grailed Labels. US domestic payments for sellers onboarded with Stripe cost 3.49% + $0.49; international payments cost 4.99% + $0.49, represented by the 1.5% cross-border surcharge. Sellers not onboarded with Stripe use different rates. Buyer tax in the processing fee basis, Grailed Label shipping, currency conversion and promotional rates are not modeled; confirm the final receipt for those adjustments. Listing is free.

- No. Listing is free; Grailed only takes its fees when one of your items sells.
- Does Grailed offer seller protection?
- Yes. Sales completed through Grailed's checkout are covered by seller protection for eligible transactions, which is one reason to use the platform's payment system rather than arranging payment off-platform.
